4x4 COSSIE

Ok had a quick look at this last night, managed to take out the shaft no probs, thought i'd ask on here before i get back to it, so i don't have to mess with it any longer than i should, do i have to take off the hub nut off, if so i'll need a vise which i don't have at home. So I will be "borrowing" one at work.

Hub nut off and then tap it with a platic or copper hammer and it should slide out easily

Don't smack the nose of the CV with a metal hammer or it will mushroom and fuck it

Ok cheers, thought as much, looks like it'll have to take it into work then as the hub is off the car. Thing is in such a bloody mess, even had to drill out the ABS sensor last night and the bolts are all seized!

the cv is fairly easy to pop out, as gracey says, undo the nut and twat it with a soft hammer or, failing that, get a bit of stout wood to use as a drift

if you were talking about geting the hubs off, then you've got a struggle on your hands
