on a s2 where does the yellow wire go to on the battery?

and the link wire for the alternator from the starter which one does it go on is it the thick live comeing off the battery or the middle sized one.

reason for asking is i started stripping the car months ago and just cant remember . it all works fine apart the alternator light stays on. i would try a fuw combinations but i now my luck i will fry somthing
