Do you have evidence of that? I know I have done 173mph already, but until it is properly verified, my personal record is 168.9mphm measured under proper conditions with proper timing gear.

Anyway, back to the topic, if I sold mine on account of what the speedo reaches, which is probably what that Fiesta guy is doing, then it would be a 190mph car.

How wrong I was spending all that money and all those years of developments, I could have just fitted a Turbo Technics turbo and a Kent cam, job done.

I don't have evidence but have seen evidence, is/was owned by a brother of someone who worked at of PEICHER & VOLN, where I used to go all the time.
Brother worked at ZUFFENHAUSEN(PORSCHE) and was his own car, and was verified at 293KMH through timing trap, best one way, was road car not stripped out or anything but did have carbon fibre trunk/bonnet/doors/hood, plus a few other bits.

True though Rod about getting the speed verified. My RST is geared for over 180mph and I know I could do it on VW's test track which is 5 miles long, but in controlled conditions it's not just about what the car can do theoretically, but what you are timed at.
