Default r888 flex / roll

right chaps

i have a set of r888's (235-40-17) for my s1 and they sit quite close to the springs on my coilovers

what i wanna know is do you get much movement in the tyres under cornering in them or the sidewalls quite rigid

i could space the front wheels out i guess if need be but for some reason i dont like the idea of using spacers (not sure why )

thanks

Could you use shorter springs for your coilovers to remove the problem?

shorter?

its the width?

i have no drive shafts in at the mo, so the wheels are pretty much doing what they want, just curious as to what i would have to play with

also the front end is fully adjustable so could have more or less room than i thought after being done

With shorter springs the bottom spring cup will be above the tyre, thus creating more space

As a side not I have the spring cups set about 3mm away from my tyres on my 205. I've only used it with my road tyres so far but haven't noticed them hitting the springs/cups

any flex would be at the bottom of the tyre, where it contacts the road, top of the tire flex should be only slight.

Dont worry the tyres will be square before that thing sees any action

If they dont catch now they will be fine - stop worrying
