Default coilover help

i have leda coilovers fitted to my ka, only thing is i want to raise the ride height at the front, now i have wound them up untill the spring is under tension when the shock is not underload, im i righ in thinking there is no point winding it anyfurther as it wont higher it anymore? so to make it higher i need different springs, or i differnt weight of spring, where could i get some from as leda went bust or how can i solve the issue, thanks alastair

no at full extension when there is no load on the shock, should i wind it further up till there is no travel when underload? but i would think it would be good to have some negative travel on the shocks?

i think there should be negative travel on shocks... but im not too sure...

surely it depends on how far the springs compress when under load...

only thing i can say is a bit of trial and error until you get to a "safe" medium... or wait until someone who knows about these things answers...

Leda's are usually 2.5" ID springs depending on age of unit.

Wind it up more then see how it sits

hi mate

i cant help you if you dont know , you cant really just put any poundage spring on them

what you dont want to do is put a hard spring on it and then the theres no damping thats the worse thing could happen

I have incresed my springs form 600lbs on the front to 750lbs but still has damping the max spring i can go without damping working is 990lbs

marco

my inserts rebound/bump 500/200

ill just see if i can wind them up anymore, dont really want to upset the balance between dampning and spring rate as ill prob make it worse, failing that ill just have to be carefull over speed bumps etc...
