Default Different Geometry Settings

Reading Issue254 of Fast Ford's Handling and braking special, -in the feature where they set-up Neil's FRST- they do a geometry test before setting it up and the readings vary all round as to be expected.

Yet, even after they have set-up it all up the readings still vary. The new settings seem to be in a smaller tolerance but still different like for like. I've always thought it had to be bang on? I assume it's possible to be deadly accurate because of the equipment they use as well?

For example: after setting up, the front camber is -1.52º left and -1.46º.

And the rear camber seems to be more varied. -1.42º on the left and -0.57º on the left.

This thread isn't a dig at Neil, Fast Ford or Elite. I'm just interested into why there's a difference like for like as it wasn't explained in the feature. And I thought it would make a fairly interesting thread.

Matters if its been set up like that for a reason?

1".52' to 1".46' isnt bad at all, But the rear is bad, but isnt adjusterable, unless modified.

I know what you mean about the tolerances. Could it be they're not as far out as before and a little bit tighter and together in a smaller margin as well?

It said in the feature it's a fast-road set-up, also understand the thing about the rear not being adjustable, as I think it's just a normal RS2K beam on there.

the camber on the front was most prob adjusted to that on the lower arm.

And not worth the extra time to get spot on, as your never notice it.
