have a look through for any special coins before you bank them!

keep saving - fill it before you empty it!

Well I'm Charlie's Son,

For my 18th I got a china pot and on the label it reckons when full it holds about £200 in mixed Silver. So I'm filling it with £1 coins

Here it is nearly a year on about half full (nearly at the widest ridge) in relation to the pringles pot...

Just got to smash it to open it, or cheat and use a kinfe

EDIT: spelling

i have a big water bottle, the ones you get in the water dispensers.

nothing hardly in it at the moment, but the last time i cashed it in there was over £300 and it was not even hardly past the 1/4 mark.

i don't think i will fill it,take too long.

I had one of those Bells bottles too, I filled it to the very top, and then got half full again and knocked it over.
Even though it landed on carpet, the weight of all the coins broke it

no need to go to the bank and change all your notes for coins just to show off

I then had the intention of sticking whatever tips I got from work (now again I'd get a £3 here, fiver there, sometimes a tenner, once or twice a £20 note, and one time I got a fifty!!! ) into my shrapnel jar, but again, I never did - I just either used it to buy lunch or spent it in the pub

I'd love to be able to frit away change like some people here do, but I ain't that flush
