Cider vs Lager vs something else
I have been a life long Lager drinker and have never really touched anything else BUT recently have got into cider. I've gone through a few ciders, dont really like Strongbow nor blackthorn as it tastes a bit rank. Magners is ok but a little to dry for me but I really do like Bulmers really really nice, especially in this warm weather !!!!!
There was an article in the paper today saying Lager consumption has dropped and cider has risen, just wondered who else had been converted ????? ( currently sitting here with a nice big glass of Bulmers
)
And has anyone tried Jacques Cider ? made by strongbow and is a fruit cider that is flippin' gorgeous ! (although the wife loves it so maybe its a womans drink !
)

Been a beer bhoy for years but started drinking vodka a few years back, but whe im in the house i still like a beer with my dinner
I drank cider as a kid and ended up hating it until i drank magners while out on a big session, really good stuff and i stuck to it for a long time,
The thing is i prefer cans of strongbow now as its a real cider, magners is weak in comparison i think, maybe its the ice
I`d say cider on a nice hot day maybe a barbi cue, beer after work in for a quick pint and in the house, vodka when your going for it

I love the Cider mate.Was a lager man about 4/5 years ago.Had a can of strongbow and it has been the love of my life since.
Tried that Jaques Cider a couple of weeks back.And no mate,it isnt a womens drink.I love the stuff

magners and bulmers are the same!...
theres another drink in uk and europe called bulmers, so to stop confusion the irish called it magners for us

Bulmers is mega sweet to the point of cringing, magners is nice but only with ice, strongbow is nice also, i find i get bloated to easy on lager and sometimes can only stomach 1 or 2 pints which is a pain in the arse when your trying to go for it. I usually stick with me black russians

I went from pints of Carlsberg, Carling, Fosters etc....to drinking Corona for a bout a year or so.....then I tried a Magners.......then Bulmers....now I'm hooked!!!!
Proper nice drink, goes down so easy, doesnt get you as bloated as lager & seems to get you proper hammered too quicker! LOL!
Bit of advice - DONT ever have Bulmers out of a can - doesnt taste anywhere as nice as out of a bottle!!!

trying to think of the name of it,,, its samuel something
it tastes like stella with a bit of brown sugar in it,,,,, its not very nice,,, quite high volume and its the only fucking thing they serve in the pool club as its a themed pub called " the swiss" in swiss cottage
was nice to end a night and beable to kiss he missus in the morning,,, though she didnt seem to happy about it

I cant drink the very strong lager (tennents super, kestrel etc) neat, but do a 30/70 with lemonade and that makes a nice drink.
Sorta like a super strong shandy, but nice and lemony (is that a word)

I have never liked Lager! Always been Cider for me, though only in last year or two got back on it. I didnt touch it for a long time because i got so ill of it once

it always used to be cider only for me, but after uni i started to drink anything, although K cider was always the best
now drink anything depending on the mood, and can't help thinking that people are now just following fashion when they drink cider when they never used to

vodka and coke, doubles maybe if i'm in the mood. smirnoff ice etc.
used to be into budweiser alot but got fed up with that and moved to fosters but have found vodka and coke is the way forward, don't get half as pissed on that than the lager. lager just fucks me up totally the next day aswell, and the day after if i've had alot but vodka don't really have no effect! it's ace!

Beer/larger makes you feel like wank the next day, head and inside plus the shits as well.

Had a few nasty experiances years ago with drinking cider and never looked near the stuff until recently and now kinda like Magners, easier to drink than lager and dont feel as bloated or full up when having quite a few.
Beer wise i prefer Bud or Miller but always gives me the beer shits the next day ( wife loves the smell of my beery farts !!!! ) and never get this with drinking Magners so tend to drink more cider now than beer.
