my mate has a vauxhall vectra and the eml is constantly on what is causing it? some of my mate's in the past have had vauxhalls and thay have had the same problem is it the ecu? and how do you sort it

could be loads of things, need to get it plugged into a fault reader

 

He needs to get friendly with someone with a Tech2 then mate

Vauxhall charge over the odds for a 5 minute diagnostic session.

 

where are you based mate? what year is the vehicle? i have a diagnostic tester here

im from pontypridd south wales i only see my mate once in a blue moon so i wont see him for a while. i was just corious as a extra bit of knolage goes a long way and i might have a vauxhall again some day with the same problem. thanks for trying to help me out

You can bridge connections to get the fault code you can find out how here.

Only needs to be plugged in if its a diesel

 

probably crank or cam sensor... there common faults, both cheap fix's

 

All you need to read the codes is a paperclip or short length of wire!
