i prefer it how it is now. i guess its a biker thing. as im not a biker bummer i didnt realise it looks like a just repaired bike.
all these race rep bikes look wank as they about as accurate as all these gay scoobies with 555 graphics on em.
seems to me its who you want to impress, same as with modified cars...
if just yourself, dont need to ask.
if it biker bummers (so 1% of the population maybe) then you need to look all race rep shit like they want.
if its normal humans (99% of the population) then its fine as it is as they wont "know" it looks like a crashed bike, to them it looks like a nice smooth, classy, but clearly fast, bike.
same as people who build cars to impress other die-hard car geeks, why the FUCK would you want to impress them wronguns?
anything they spank off about would usually still look wank to the rest of the world anyhow, they dont see the significance of carbon panels, 909 parts, and rondells

If he's got plenty of money like you say, why doesnt he just buy a better newer bike with the money instead of doing colour changes all the time. Thats what id do anyway, but each to their own. I suppose its like all these boy racers that spend shit loads on a corsa or saxo, and then soon realise that they could have bought a decent car to start with. (not saying the old R1's are not decent, but you get what i mean. )

It's no different. Just because it's a bike, doesn't mean it can't be modified to make it more individual.
And you can hardly liken it to a Saxo! If it was a Fizzy 50 that the guy was spending cash on, I would agree, but an R1 is hardly in the same league!

i think the newest car ive ever owned is about 1996, and almost everything else has been 1991 or older

Im not comparing it to a saxo, i just used that to get my point across. I see what your saying though mate but what im getting at is i would never spend half the value again on modding a car or a bike personally. Thats not to say its wrong at all, as many people do and thats fair enough. If it wasnt for people like that, we wouldnt get bargain cars that have had £12k spent that sell for £5k etc etc.
If he knows a sprayer then fair play. Id be changing it all the time if i could have a new spray job for peanuts.

Looks terrible as mentioned .
To me at first glance I thought it was a track bike , then I saw the lights etc
And it seems to me your buddy hasnt got much of a clue when it comes to painting bikes ....... why would you paint a yamaha in factory Honda colours and put another jap bikes branding on it
