It was properly mapped on the road Mike
Keeping the ALS would have meant a trip to Stu and it would take more than a function that was unrequired on the road and especialy with my spec to make me venture that far up north!

I know it was properly mapped, but it read that to do so, you had to get rid of the ALS to make it work properly, but a properly mapped car can still run with ALS...

Also on anything other than a rally car it is pointless and a gimick imo now anyway, so just like T4's it has been filed under the name of useless waste of money

I'd beg to differ, Mikes car round the ring with the T4 and ALS was shocking (in a good way)

I think it would. It opened my eyes, especially on the slower corners where it's obviously design for. So and

Ok, Mike has done considerably more laps than me round there, i.e more than 20 times , so he knows where he can get the power down early, but it was still less laggy than my T34

I can understand that they will make a difference when hundreth of a second matters on a twisty rally stage for instance but on a long tarmac track on a jolly nah

Spadge,
Just goes to show your ignorance if you're not willing to accept the facts . I can assure the difference is like night and day .

Next time we're at a track together , I'll show the difference for yourself .

I don't reckon the anti lag makes all that much difference at all...............

Mike - if you could drive properly, you'd find yourself in the turbo's power band anyway - consider also that you're a high comp engine too, so exactly what lag were you trying to eliminate?

Or is it the fact, that like Spadge, you seem to want to impress the girls at the cruises

If spadges engine had any lag, mike might have a point, but with 9.2:1 and a T3, there's not much waiting about!! lol

Spadge,
I'm surprised at your comments (PON's I can understand, as he has only ever had a girlie turbo ), as you have obviously experienced the difference between the boost drop off between the gears that you get with a T4 and what you don't get with a T3. With ALS, I get the same boost drop (as in none ) as your T3 THAT's how good the ALS is .

No, that's rally car compression . Hope the boost tails off sufficiently at the top end without the restrictor .

Mike...your car spins up better with a T4 than most others cause of your capacity

I agree with Spadge the T4/ALS is now in the seriously "uncool" catorgory on a road car...although anti lag is useful when some twat is stuck on your bumper ...

No my car spins up better than most because the engine has been completely designed around that remit . So not just this - cams / timing, inlet manifold, compression, valve size etc .

And Mike why are you telling me to suck eggs? First you say to spadge "get your car mapped properly" and now you're telling me whats not safe on a 9.2:1 engine!

Back to school for you Mike, or maybe on the phone to harvey?

And don't forget Dyno'd to get you a "my cocks bigger then your's" figure that means fook all once its all in the car as i once found
Would you like to compare what your engine owes you in comparison to mine Mike and then see if yours was worth all the extra expense
