Looks good mate. Any reason why you havnt filled it to the top yet though? They look much better brimmed in my opinion.
My clown loach would have that balancing rock off in no time!
Also be very careful with real plants, and check the water regulary as mine went a bit tits up when i added real ones.

No reason really, a bit must have evaporated.
Also if brimmed, I cant put my hand in if I need to do sommat
Real plants have been in there for 3-4 weeks, water still perfect

Whats the best way to keep tropical tanks clean? I have no real plants and within 3 weeks of adding fish to my tank the side walls were covered with algy slim.
Is there an additive you can put in the water?
Cheers,
Dan

DanS, as stu said above, algae on the sides is usually due to it being in direct sunlight. Id move your tank first, and then get your water tested. Take a sample to one of the big stores like 'pets at home' and they do a free test and will advise you on what additives and treatments to use to get your water perfect.

Moving house and the Golden saum i have at the moment is getting too big for the tank, so have taken him to teh fish shop to be re-homed as its only fair to him now hes 10" long. Will miss him.
So, a totally mint Rio 240 system for sale as a very good price should anyone want one. Will put it on eBay when i get time.

Mine is looking ok as things stand, took 6 weeks for me, looking at water bubbling away before i could even think of adding fish
Good luck Stu with the marriage, house move and ibiza trip, but I doubt you'll be able to surpass an aquarium as a centrepiece in the lounge
You'll be back, just like the RS marque, only this time, make sure its MARINE fish
