The duratec V6 has a different bolt pattern to cologne v6 or any of the 4pots that bolted up to the MT75, as the MT75 has an intergrated bell housing you would need make an adaptor plate for it.
The duratec v6 in the mondeo also has ancillaries on both the front and back so it maybe a bit hard to get at some of them in a RWD layout. Ideally you want the jag version out of the xtype as it has the better head plus its also used in the s-type from what I remember (no doubt slightly different to the x-type one) which is RWD and comes in a manual so you could find which gearbox it uses and bolt that up.
There is now a 3.5 version of the engine which is designed to be both FWD and RWD (ancillaries all on one side) it should be turning up in a host of ford vehicals at some point (it's in the ford edge at the moment) including a twin turbo version. However seeings as ford can no longer be arsed to make fast fords anymore and instead just re badge some volvo effort I'd expect it to go unused
