Default Best turbo for my engine spec

Right...I brought an engine that didt come with a turbo....so heres the spec...I want arround 400bhp (although i'm trying to spec some components to make 450 in time) and hate laggy setups....so your suggestions please...Oh and its going into a mk1 4x4 fezzy and I'm a lover of acceleration not really top end so can sacrifice if needed.

Ported & Polished head, 3angle, bronze guides
ported & polished inlet trumpets and manifold (4wd)
Pair BD10's
MSD 1000cc Injectors
5 bar map sensor
L8 ecu
4wd exhaust manifold
closed loop (will be when installind in car)
Coilpack (again will be by time installed)

Bottom end is believed to be low comp but not confirmed yet...it's going to have a rebuild anyhow so if not low comp I have a choice of c/r and headgasket (probs going for a 4 layer )

I know i'm in T34 territory but what kind of housings etc would I need as I'm a little lost when it comes to a/r and such when looking at turbos..especially hybrids like the T34...I like acceleration more than top end so can possibly drop top end puff to aid pickup low down?

Cheers
Dan

You should get close to 400 with a .55 housing but you would be pushing it hard , mibi better to go for a .63 as it will be under less stress.

some gt30s are good for 500bhp and any ball bearing turbo spins up quicker than normal i believe

Garrett GT28/76R

This one says its good for 450-480bhp so would it be more responsive than the gt30?

Anyone had experience witht he GT28/76R? I know its a t25 flange but thats not a problem as I could make my own manifold or use a small turbo escos one if it would flow enough... And on the site it says good for arround 45-480bhp so would suit my planned power hike (when I can afford swedish and stronger gearbox).....

Any opinions?
