I technically have been around for a lot longer here than 2005 as i was drawn to this place for the same reason as everyone else but i just used to read rather than post as personally i regard this place as the best place content wise. Same as one of the known Ford magazines, i seriously believe its well written and has the right material of pretty much most magazines.

However the only use i get out of registering is that i can post and therefore i only use it for the General discussion things like music, computing, football or whatever interest threads. Hence the post count and why it may appear i have no interest in fords.

Ones i read are pretty much all the ford related topics.

Ive been around for a while now but only started posting a lot more recently i can honestly say out of all the car sites im registered on which include the likes of civic type r owners /dc2 /dc5 forum /mk1 owners club/mlr /gtiroc.

PASSIONFORD IS THE BEST AND I CHEW UP HOURS AND HOURS ON HERE AND THINK ITS LAYED OUT THE BEST MOST KNOWLEDGABLE AND MOST PEOPLE ARE GREAT!!!!

I use gd/muppet rm more recently and cars for sale all the time i also browse in the other sections but once i start on a room i spend hours reading and wow ive learnt lots i did not know!!!

I do suffer more recently from database error but i live with it as its hardly the end of the world and usually can get back on within the same hour!!!

I can hand on heart say im more than happy with the site although at times and mentioning no names people can be a little touchy but probably being from manchester we have a more lenient approach on matters more than most so i take it with a pinch of salt !!!!!

The values and the type of posting on the forum currently can only be blamed upon the fact that staff and management allow it and find it acceptable, likewise these are the only people who can redefine and change these values.

Personally I hope you do take action.
General Discussion is for just that, general discussion. I just wondered how many people use PF ONLY for that type of disscusion and dont actually contribute to the other rooms or indeed know whats in them.

I havent moaned about the content of topic once... i was just commenting on how well the other rooms work and what a great place they are to use. Weoll done to all teh members in them i say.

Not sure why some of you lot are moaning about the way ONE room (GD)is run when the rest fo us are commending all the others...

Maybe its because your the ones who just want to use PF like a chat room and stay in GD talking crap?

Its got sod all to do with me anyway. It was just an observation and i thought it worth mentioning.

I understand your observations however I felt that it was a shame that rather than state 'why I love this place' you used the past tense and said 'once loved this place'
It was this singular statement which prompted my comment as you are one of the people who have the power to change things and ensure that you once again love this place.

My observations from being around many web forums is that I think its very important for Admin and Moderators to enjoy what they are doing otherwise it becomes a chore and the forum looses direction quickly.

Indeed, and i am a prime example of that, but sadly i just got sick to death of people moaning all teh time and never wanting to be of any help. That and my life is currently just too busy to keep stressing over a webforum on the internet. I am sure one day people will look back and wonder what they spent so much time moaning about... lol

i should have added the reasons why......

i learnt a long time ago that if i want something technical then a car forum aint the place to look. too many opinions and to many people know best, and 99% of the time they dont remotely know best!

this place is for entertainment/fun only to me

The post was good and people were putting forward their varying opinions about how the PL had dealt with it and how they thought it should have been dealt with, but yet again skeg strays off topic and tries to turn it into a ManU appreciation thread with 3 of those 4 replies he mentions above

OK, confused.....I said I dislike sniping etc, and in another post about your new M3 (which I said in my very first post are nice cars) but aren't exclusive. They are a mass produced car, therefore the comment on them being like clitorises........hardly red rag to a bull mate is it ? Never said the M3's are crap as they're not, they're just not my cup of tea. Much like I suspect my S1 is to you.

Horses for courses as Stu says the internet isn't worth getting upset about so I'm not and suspect you feel the same !

But thats something that bothers me as you are an obvious source of knowledge on the forum and if I have a complaint its that not enough technical based discussion is presented on the forum which would enable me to learn things.

The forum is what people want to make it, and theres plenty of technical info in teh rooms i listed earlier, only reason people dont know that is because they watse their time in general Discussion looking for stuff that shouldnt br in there anyway.

Wrong, you mean until you launched a personal attack as always and it went sour. If you kept your crusade against me to yourself it wouldn't have ruined the topic. I made several posts in reference to Tevez then you got personal. Remind me who quoted who first? Exactly.
