Default Motorbike sized plates on a car, your views?

Here's something that REALLY annoys me:
In my opinion, on the front of a cossie it looks SOOO much better with a small plate......that aside here's my real gripe!

Why oh f*cking why do the police pull you for it and claim your "trying to evade speed cameras" So does that mean a speed camera can't catch a speeding motorcyclist?? I just don't understand, surely if it's legible and "legal" for a bike then it can be used on a car also?
What i want to know, is there actually a reason for this or is it just a pointless law?

N.B. I'm in no way saying it's ok to break the law before anyone decides go go on a moral crusade.....

LOL, A funny story about me being pulled by a copper for my number plate in the pissing down rain on blackpool sea front and with all Stu,s mapping gear in the car. The copper stood in the pouring rain for a good 10 minutes trying to decide if it was illegal or not, told me it was, so i swapped them over with the one i carry in the boot and he said ahh err ok then thanks see ya.. rotfpmsl

Think its to do the automatic number plate things that the tax and poilce use. I dont think they can read anything but a standard plate. They are forward facing.

Guess they carnt use these cameras on bikes.

they dont, they pull you cos its illegal

i have had an undersized plat on my RS's for the lat 5 years and never been pulled for it....even had a policeman inspect my car once when he pulled me over for being in a suspicious area

just go slightly undersized, and not down to bike sized, cos they look shit anyway

I know that, i am asking why!
hence why i said What i want to know, is there actually a reason for this or is it just a pointless law? If you go undersize then that's illegal aswell just not as obvious.
