Best Coupe for £25k
Have agreed to sell the XC90 and get something a bit sportier.
The only criteria are i) Must have 4 seats; ii) must be able to fit a small pushchair in the boot; iii) look good.
Current shortlist:
1) Maserati Coupe
errr thats it - I couldn't think of any more
Suggestions please!

Maserati Coupe may be misleading - I meant either a 3200GT or 4200

hi for 25k you can get alot.
but the maserati 3200gt is lovly. My brother in law has a black one with red leather with a tubi on it and it sounds amazing and goes well.
His is manual and will be up for sale. The car is really well looked after and as a full main dealer/maserati specialist service history (Verdi's, etc)
The only downside i must say is servicing. The servicing is expensive but we have found it well worth it because it ensures that really expensive engine is perfect all the time.
and ones that have not been driven. Sorry to say, I think there better and have less issues when driven every day. Another mate has a silver one, brought it 8 weeks ago with 26k on it. It has spent more time in the garage then on the road so far and that includes parked at night. He paid 21k for it, and it has a full main dealer/maserati specialist service history.
Always check the normal, oil pressure, any noise from the engine and water. Make sure it comes on boost nice and you really feel it, and brake hard too as they are expensive and ensure it brakes in a straight line. Also check all the electrics and aircon works. The aircon pipes are a nightmere.
The bodywork should be straight and look for rust around the bootlid and rear arches. Thats about it.
I must say it has been a good car and given us no issues at all. I would buy one if I had the money.

The ones that I have seen have all had rust around the rear arches, but one I saw was falling to bits - the clutch was slipping, the gearshift was knackered, one exhaust was shorter than the other, etc, etc and it only had 40k on the clock!

Ask yourself these questions:
Do you like breaking down?
Do you like chucking loads of money at your motor to keep it on the road?
Are you friends with the AA?
I worked for the company that handled the replacement vehicles for the Maser breakdown contract, knowing what I know I would not buy one to use everyday.
