just looking on google earth and just thoughthow old the pictures or of the roads and buildings, how often is it updated i thought it was real time?

Updated whenever the military sees fit to release pictures i guess.
Only the US army can see real time from sattelites i believe.

lol... real time would take up soo much power, and you would need a separate satalite for each individual... they havent finished the whole of the world, but i knoy round my area it is about 6-7 years old... so my guess is they will be constantly be updating it, but will take around 10 years to upadate it all... possibly longer...

Nah, not updated live, that would be a mean feat to achieve.

Google have only recently added my part of Essex to Google earth and even then, the pics are a couple years old at least

As above, its totally random, some are updated fairly often, others are many years old and havent been updated ever since.

my house (london) is only about a year old

but head office (in the sticks) is not even a building site and the office has been there for the past 6 years
