EDIS 4 Coil

Are the standard Ford items okay for 8,500rpm? Also, what Fords are they fitted to as I need some spark plug leads.

The EDIS4 and the coilpack are seperate items. All Fords for the last 10 plus years have used coilpacks.

EDIS 4 is NOT a coilpack it is an igntion amplifier fitted to automatics as the ecu does not contain suffecient space.
That is the case on MK1 mondy auto's anyway.

Okay, let me re-phrase. Is the coil that is used on Ford cars running the EDIS 4 ignition able to supply a spark to an engine revving to 8,500rpm.

I'm fitting EDIS onto my Levin and want to know if the the standard Ford coil is man enough.
