nothing in the rules to say that a shortened chassis is illegal, i quoted them 2 bits on the 1st page mate.

chassis mods are at time attacks own discression wether they want to allow them, but must be done in advance and still NO spaceframing at all.

thats why they never moaned about the major suspension turret and floorpan mods to make andys car take cossie running gear and 4wd, as thats legal and if anything more work Simons, which is a standard but shortened floorpan.

all they dont like, as said, is spaceframing, and unless im blind, there deffo no other spaceframed or semi spaceframed chassis in time attack...

its a bit shit if they dont let andy run at time attack.i know there was plenty people from up here who were going up purely to see him and the focus in action.and to be honest if the car lasts the day ive no doubt whod have won id put a wager on that!!

theres quick cars in it granted and decent battles from what ive read but his focus is a tad "SPECIAL".

think you should look up the RAC MSA book for definition of space frame chassis it is just a tube chassis with composite panels attached.
my car still has full steel inner wings baulk head floor tunnel rear 1/4 s inner rear 1/4 s etc. its sill a full steel shell.
and an F1 car would not be allowed because its not simmallar to a car from a road going manufacturer.
i can clearly see they are just picking on me so i will be there on sat and i will pay an independent scutineer to double check that every car complys with the rules

isn't your car built just like the 06 wrc car I was in m-sport last week and had a good look at the front lay out
for those who dont know the cage is built first and the car around it unlike before where they got the shells from ford and took the roof off in order to get the cage in!!
the chassis is ok for wrc but not for time attack or have I missed something??

the rules are there to exclude someone you don't want just depends how far onto them you want read. like modified chassis i'm sure everyones has a modified chassis somewhere.
the rules are different from WRC they are only time att rules.
even like roll cage spec on wrc has minimun requirement of 38mm x 2 mm for the main cage but time att say 45mm x 2.5 is minimum.
so you would really to build a car for time attack alone to meet all rules and regulations in full.
