You have chosen the best trade / career path but you will not spend much time at sea being an AET, mostly shore jobs for you. Fleet Air Arm are like submariners.....they live in a different world to the real Navy

good luck. i was in the navy for 6 years as an electronics tech. loved the navy, hated my division officer. he hated me, but unfortunately he had a great deal of control over my advancement and ensured that i never did.
some of the best times of my life were spent in the navy though. and you'll make friends that will stay with you forever.
btw, anyone know the difference between a fairytale and a sea story?
