alarm siren wont work....any ideas
got a carvox on it at the mo, unitl i can get it booked in at bsc and get a clifford or similar on it
for some reason the siren has stopped working
but it still pages me saying if its been disturbed
whats that about

so snipped wires, and left it a few days just cause it was annoying, then wired it back up, and now wont go off...

the siren probably has an internal battery ,which is now flat as you disconnected it
most alarm sirens have a set way of reconnecting them or feeding them to start the charge process
ie on my gt alarms i fit, you need to hold a live for 5 secs on the blue wire, with it disconnected from the alarm.

it doesnt look to have a battery....just looks like a small siren

i ve searched the web for the past 4 hours now, and cant find anything about it
got the handbook here, nd it hasnt any troubleshooting
its a carvox cx 990 if you know anything about them....
i have found out they re shit...

sounds to me like YOUR CAR IS BEING BROKEN INTO AND SOMEONE HAS CUT THE ALARM,,,, stop posting on here and listen to what the pager is telling you,,, quick go now before they get away !!!

the amount of people that get there cars done cause someone plays about with them for a few days setting the alarm off for the owner to get the hump and not set it and wake up with no stereo is,,,, well its not uncomon
the amount of times i heard " if my alarm wasnt playing up then it would have scared them off OI FUCK FACE,,,,, THEY WAS SETTING IT OFF TO SET YOU UP,,,,,,, and your missus has been going to pottery class for 6 months yet aint brought a fucking bowl home ,,,,,,,,,,,, women dont wear lacy bras for pottery class and come home with fresh make-up on !!!!

swapped them over, and no difference
ginge, i look out every time the pager goes
one night after it going off about 8 times, it was my pissed up brother brother tapping the window thinking he was funny
when i sneaked up and jumped out with baseball bat aloft ready to smack the fucker, he didnt find it funny then
good job it wasnt too dark and i could see it was him

but i did check if it was the wires the wrong way round
made no difference
will check tomorrow to see if live feed does owt
