Metalic noises when running car up.

cant seem to locate where it is coming from. is round the cam belt area. Cam Belt cover is off and its round the pulley/belt tensioner/water pump.
Are the tensioners prone to going.

Wish he was. Id turn the volume down and the noise would not be there any more.
