Was never actually called a Cosworth.... was called a 2.5-16 I believe.

Under 200bhp so won't feel fast. Well built and strong though.

The Evo 2 ones still look cool as foook

thats the last of the lines ones
they normally came in a 2.3 or the evo version, the later ones were the 2.5 evo 2 so it depends on which car he's bought as to how square it looks

I'm sure they are fitted with in car adjustable suspension that packs up, or cost well over £1500 to fix all four corners, with the correct stuff, saw it on WHEELER DEALERS!!

Done some searching
2.3 16 badged as 190 E 2.3 16 was 185bhp, 174lbft
0-62mph in 8.0 seconds 143 mph
US cars were 167bhp and 162 lbft
2.5's were 202bhp
CAT ones later were 197bhp.
Unlike the 2.3 which was mercedes bottom end with cossie head cast at their WORCESTER plant, the 2.5 was cossie in entirety, but there is a lot of controversy over this.
2.3 were coded WAA, 2.5 coded WAB
2.5 was better as had DOUBLE row timing chain not single which were prone to snapping on early ones(2.3's).
It was going to be used in rallying until the quattro came out and stopped it, so it went single make racing instead DTM.
502 EVO models were made for this purpose.
All cossie 190 had 70 litre fuel tank instead of 55 litres.
They had a dog leg gearbox(5 speed) by GETRAG, same one as BMW M3 of the time.
They were FOUR seaters not five, and had a stopwatch as std kit.
The 2.3 was available in two colours BLUE-BLACK METALLIC and SMOKE SILVER(looks gold).
The 2.5 was available in two extra colours, as well as above, colours of ALMANDINE RED and ASTRAL SILVER.
They had LSD as std, there was available a system to lock the diff to 100% lock as opposed to std 15%
