Default Modifying a 1.6 Focus estate.

Thinking about making a few mods to my Focus and would like to get some info from people who know better than me..

ENGINE
With an induction kit, quality chip, de-cat exhaust, some kind of fuel pressure boost valve and a pro set up what sort of power increase could I expect. I guess the engine would be alot more responsive but only maybe 5 or 10 BHP at most ????
For the gains I would get making mechanical changes, IE cams, headwork, would it be worth it on a 1.6??? I suspect not ??

BRAKES
Are calipers and discs from faster versions, RS or ST170 for example, a straight fit onto the base models (obviously front only), assuming the wheels are big enough and do they make a huge difference over standard even when combined with braided hoses and different pads ?? Would I need the master cylinder from the doner vehicle too ??

SUSPENSION
Looking at a 30 to 40 mm drop, nothing too extreme as it's still my daily driver, but can this be achieved affectively with just lowering springs or is that just a compromise over fitting a full spring and damper kit ?? I don't want to screw the already pretty good handling.

I presume the traders on here would be able to supply anything I need in good time and at a good price and the rest I can get off of Ebay

Thanks for reading.

i would have a look on the zsoc forum as its the same engine as the fiesta, they seem to see good power from exhaust and filters, you can tune them alot im using one in my ka and will be around 180bhp, brakes you can fit the st170 setup which is alot better, hope that helps abit!

Would hardly bother matey.

The time and money you would spend doing it, id say you would be aswell sourcing a 2ltr from a smashed focus and dropping it in?
