I got a tiny kitchen
But I do have a bunch of cupboard space I honestly don't need.... So how small do dishwashers get? I don't need a full size one - like washing machine sized one, so do they do half sized?
I live on my own and don't generate that much washing up - 6 plates, 4 or 5 glasses/mugs, couple bowls and a handfull cutlery a week I'd say, and yeah I could wash em up but I HATE washing up - and I mean I REALLY hate it!!!!!! PLus I am shit at it. Stuff is clean but it don't look it (water marks on the plates/cutlery etc)
How expensive are dishwashers to run?

Trip to some home leccy shops coming on soon then ![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
Wanna get my oven and hob ripped out too and replaced with gas - god I HATE leccy oven + hob!!!!!![Wall](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/wall.gif)
So thining if I get round to doing that, which would mean having the units out, then might be an idea to have dishwasher fitted....

Anyways you said you got a 50cm wide one..the slimlines are usually 450mm wide and go in a 500mm cupboard with a gap at either side...for some strange reason...

We have a Fisher and Paykel Drawer one which is the width of a standard cup board door but only half the height (we have our pan draw under it). It is fine for 2 people and takes us a couple of days to fill it.

girly tips for you here
for glasses, they need to be rinsed with hot water and wiped dry straight away. cutlery will stain if left to dry horizontally as well
