Default fao bodyshop people!

hey guys and gals

Just a quick question - how hard would it be to remove and refit a rear 3/4 panel from a 3 door mk1 focus? Afraid I know veery little, but me and a mate at work seem to have conflicting knowledge. Are they spot welded on? I understand the rear glass would have to be removed.

Any help would be much appreciated

thanks

Rich

You don,t need to remove the whole qtr panel.

On the rear c pillar(the back one, where it joins the roof) you can cut it half way up.The rest is spot welds which need to be driled out.And yes rear qtr glass will have to be removed. To be honest i,d leave it to the proffessionals. It would be a right c*nt if you didn't know what your doing.

Remove and refit the SAME panel?

The original will be a bit distorted by the time it's off.

You won't get the qtr panel off cleanly enough to re-use it.
You also need a proper spot welder to put a new qtr on.
