It really needed this to work to any degree of effectiveness:

This supercharger is claimed to be 85% efficient compared to the 50% of a conventional type. Unfortunately the price is indicated to be around £3000 if you can find someone to sell one . It wasn't available at the time and so the project was shelved.

50% efficient? you using ones intended for a 1930s mineshaft to blow fresh air down there?
if you use a sprintex/lysholm etc etc screw one you talking as much eficency as a turbo...
already said that, been done tons of times on countless other cars, inc at least 1 cossie.
IMO one of the least effective of the turbo/supercharged engine combos tho

Funny how all the Harvey bashers come out of the woodwork to pick fault in any way possible . The original idea wasn't his or mine, the actual making it work sufficiently efficiently (bar the supercharger size issue) was entirely down to Harvey's exceptional engineering skills.

Testing the future
missed this first time around
why not bin off the PAS pump and fit electric to make more room?
or do like on some engines where one ancillary is mounted behind the other and driven by a shaft coming out of the front one?
