lived at home until 23 then lived with a mate for a year at 23 where i used to pay an ounce of weed as monthly rent then bought a house with the ex, lived there 6 years, then another house (current one) for 18 months, then we split up 2 weeks ago, now living on my own now and if im honest i am lonely as fuck and hate coming home i can do what the hell i want whenever i want mind so i can see the benefits just not right now

Lived on my own since i was 14 apart from a brief spell around 15 and no way could i ever be dependant on someone elses lodgings ever again...
Independance is the greatest asset that life has to offer you IMO.
Nicole was living with her parents when i met her and i cant say it put me off her, but that said, i did have my own gaff to come back to so i guess it wouldnt have would it?

I'm 24, live at home, pay £60 sheets a month rent, don't use the phone so there's never a phone bill, electricity bill I contribute to bearing in mind the pc's on 24hrs a day 7 days a week abusing the net.
Dad's a mechanic with his own business so repairs to the rs are fairly ok, got me a runabout "Track Weapon" for work and little jobs, bird suitation is cak at the moment as i don't have one (need to find a doris into porn really ), would like to move out and have my own gaf, but in all fairness there's 3 things stopping me
1) it would need a gargae on the property, no exceptions
2) blatantly have 2 x lazyboy's in the living room Joey & Chandler from Friends stylee
3) I just can't afford it

Parents irritated the shit out of me when i lived there so i left at 17 couldnt live there again as i think it would ruin the friendship we now have, im 33 now and own my own house with the livin cook/cleaner/hooker/wife so things couldnt be better well they they could if i could just mute the bitch

Ok, from a ladies view:
I have been reading all of your posts. I think that living on your own builds a solid foundation on your goals. It also makes you responsible in many ways. I never understood why men over the age of 30 are still living at home. No offense to anyone here, but I just think at that age, it is time to take responsiblilty, and start knowing what it feels like to have monthly bills, and certain exspensis.
I have been on my own since the age of 18. I am now 28, and I know that I can survive in the real world, whether that means to let the race car sit for a year, or to save my $ to do what I please.
Ok, enough playing mom..haahaa

my parents are quality, dont ask for any money, dont care who or how many birds i bring round (Mum thinks its quite funny and think Dad likes a good stare, lol), and the way the house is laid out you dont actually have to have any contact with ma parents if you dont want.
Oh and the full english breakfast for me and guest sunday morning!!

im 29 did move out once to be with my other half but she mad life hell for me and was full of shit, most things she told me was a lie and she even blackmailed me if i dumped her. i have to pay £80 a week to be at home and yes it is very hard for me and some times i have to work late at night on other peaple's car's just to earn more money. i find it very hard to cope with this and sometimes i just feel like saying fook it what's the point in being here if you know what i mean,
