As title, my car has developed some new funny noises over the last few weeks and it seemed down on power but i just thought i was being paranoid and thet i had got used to the power............................................. .................................................. .................... I WAS WRONG
Took my friend out for a spin and he said it deffo wasn't a quick as it used to be and the exhaust seemed blowy, turns out i've somehow lost 3 of my exhaust studs at some point!
What i want to know is :
A) How the hell did they fall out without me hearing a big clanging noise
B) How hard is it to take the turbo & manifold off (4X4)
C) What size studs are used originaly
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks,
Dave

Excellent guys thanks for the replies.
Do these studs have a tendance to snap or is it more common for them to just fall out?
Shall i just replace all of the studs once i've got it all off or would it be tempting fate?

What size are the studs, i.e M8 x 50mm or are they too long?!?
Coz i can get them from work, probably the nuts aswell
I've already got the manifold gaskets.
How long does it take on average?

I think they just vibrate loose - the torque on them isnt much more than a nip...
The bottom ones are an arsehole to get at!
The studs are about 30p each, and the nuts are closer to 3 quid
Enjoy
Neil.

It would be best to go from underneath to get at the bottom ones wouldnt it?
I suppose the only good news to come out of this is the fact that it will go faster once iv'e fixed it wont it?
