as ya aint looking for top end power, get rid of that 63 housing on the turbo for starters, this will at least reduce the lag and make it more punchy

doubt you would feel that tbh. you are only gonna use the car between 30 and 120mph and you can easily run the kinda power u are meant to have through a 48 housing

If you want a fast acclerating car, go Big low down Torque. Ranj is right my old Spec engine was a scorcher 0-100 8.1 & less than 500 brake.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
You need a engine with good torque and power or you end up with a narrow power band and always have to change up early, Trust me I know a bit about Cossie engines and making them go fast ,
Best thing would be set a budget then you can work around what you need and the best way around it.

What about changing to 0.48 housing (but get your tuner to add more boost ) & add some NOS. Fairly cheap and effective as it sounds like you don't wanna be spending thousands porting the head, going high c/r or whatever.

20K+ Super Poster.
deffo lose that 63 housing ginge the car's MADE of lag with that mother on
must be someone with a 48 housing T34 car we know that you can have a go in?
tbh all you can really do is swap the turbo bits unless youre talking about spending PROPER money on rebuilding the engine toa different spec.
oh, and i think std cams might give you back a bit of lowdown power...

must admit Ginge I bet ya cams aint helping u with low down grunt. Plenty of peeps with 48 housing, i reckon that really is the way to go for you.
I reckon your going through a "I want more power" phase but in reality you just need to fine tune your spec a little

Jim, there aint THAT much difference in lag TBH.........0.48 will come on boost about 300rpm sooner maybe if that. I personally FAR preferred a 0.63 on my car as it just kept pulling to the redline.
When's it hitting full boost at the moment BTW? It shouldn't be anywhere near as bad as your making out....maybe it needs setting up properly? It should be at full boost by 3,500rpm for deffo BTW.
Cheers,
Ian
