Firstly, if your car is not making full boost until 4000rpm with a T3/4 and 0.63 a/r housing, then something is wrong .

Your first port of call is to take it to someone who FULLY understands the workings of a Cossie (i.e. a Cosworth specialist, not any old garage) and get them to check it over and set it up. Once this has been done, you may find that you find the way the car then drives is acceptable.

If not, then what you need is the turbo that Ian3dr and B16 RBM has on his car. It does require greys to get the best out of it, but it is on boost INSTANTLY and holds 2 bar from just over 3k to 7k . I would warn you, it lights the tyres up in any gear wet or dry and you will prbably crash if you are not used to rwd (as even Ian who is, has had loads of "moments" ) - but you said you wanted this kind of power delivery .

If you want a cheap way of getting "extra" power, strip EVERYTHING (sound deadening, carpets, seats, spare wheel, stereo shite etc) out of the car bar one bucket seat. This will greatly improve the power to weight and would be the same as getting 40-50bhp extra and keeping everything in the car.

No point modding a fucked engine, so if its smoking like fuck and using loads of oil, well...

Go get it set up PROPERLY tho, a car of your spec shouldnt have the shit performance you talking about.

never said u couldnt
no, you called me a twat for so muh as suggesting it implying i was talking bollocks

p8 is totaly different u idiot so is the es cos amal
i know, i was only using it as an example of the fact that amal valves (ie the basic fundemental pricliples behind them) aint shite

i dont see any aftermarket boost controlerrs using wank like the amal valve
you've obviously never looked at any boost controllers then most of them bleed air (ala amal valve) rather than restrict it (ala air-inj)

so it looks like

1) you know that what he wants can be acheived with an amalv valves not expensive air/air

2) you understand that simply fitting air/air wont make the car any less laggy

so why the hell did you try and take the piss out of me when i stated that point

jim for what u know ill be happy in listening to u NOT

Jim, WHICH boost controllers bleed air?

Ive yet to see any proper boost conrollers bleed air at all!

Only wank anal valves and bleed valves.

Even cheapy dawes devices etc dont bleed air and they just a ballbearing and a spring...

Which Greddy one? All Greddy ones ive seen have a 2 port solenoid like an air injector, not a 3port to bleed air...

You sure it bleeds air?

Steve....swan vesta is correct amals do work extremely well until you use particular sized turbos that is!!!!!

Mike...what about my turbo?.......It rocks......yes it comes on a 4000rpm but then Harvey said it wouldnt be that much difference to a T4 due to the internals...but does it push you in theseat..i'd swear it was a T4!!!!

you understand that simply fitting air/air wont make the car any less laggy
bull shit air-air makes a car less laggy due to no air been allowed to the actuator till a given point ie: the boost curve is steeper with air-air you firebug i wouldnt use a boost controller any how jim as i want my ecu to be controlling it

Ginge,

When you're ready, pop over to Mill Hill, and I'll get my brother to take you out in his 7.8:1, T34 .48, 803 car.

It's been mapped by Karl, and you will be astonished just how fast it is.
