I disagree, E46 convertibles are not owned by what we all consider CHAVs to be.
They are for BIPPETS.
These are CHAVS that scraped their way up the slippery social ladder and got themselves jobs, probably selling other peoples houses, mobile phones or IT software/hardware.
They are the ones you see wearing Moschino, with tapered jeans at the bottom, Mr Whippy gelled up hair cuts and clutching onto their newest model mobile phone in their hand ALL THE TIME.

as it goes, theres a couple of burbury wielding chavs rolling round my area in e46 m3 convertibles, one gold with 20's, and one black with a kit and splities.
theres some rich daddys about,
i do find them chavy and think the e36 is more understated (get with no rear spioler)
and theres no jelousey in it, one has previously resided on my drive way

In fairness, most E46 convertibles [non M3's] round here seem to be driven by women nudging towards 40 that can often be seen, when not in the car, "power walking" with a friend in matching nike 2-sets, holding one of those silly fist grab water bottle things and a jumper tied around their waist to cover a fat arse.
I DO like to generalise
Back on topic though, I love M3's, they never cease to put a smile on my face when driving. I've not had a convertible E46 yet but have had a hard top and a few E36 Evos and stuff with a drop top.
But the one I would really like to try is a Z3M. Gay as you like but even the 1.9's always manage to put a massive grin on my face

Around here they spend all their money on tramp killer cider, tracky bottom's and lizzy duke, NONE of them can drive they dont work FFS, spend all day smoking weed and watching sky then out at night fucking around off their face on cider
The only time you'll see one in a E46 M3 is if the police start using them

There are lots, and i mean lots of E46's here - but i still like them, good cars. All the manchester RSOC members are a bunch of buffty toffs - defo not chavs. Seems like if you live in south east, then it's every car with some sort of pedigree is a chavs car...

I have never seen a guy in a drop top that looked cool, they looked like a drug dealer who had made some money getting scrotes to do his dirty work, and now wanted to scream I HAVE MONEY" in order to enable him to have 16 year old bints let him bang them while their boyfriend sell his drugs
