Tempted getting a Pontiac GTO
Wasnt until a couple of days ago I learnt that the Pontiac GTO is the same car as the Holden HSV/Vauxhall Monaro but with LHD.
Fanzied a car like this since if first saw them in Australia back in 2000. Glad to see they are now availabe as LHD albeit brranded as a Pontiac.
If only they could sell the 4-door version, then it would be a bit more practical.

Yes, that looks cool, they should put the 6.0 litre in that.
Checked that earlier but but just locked at the GTO which seems to discontinued and the upcomming G8 which I think is based on the Holden R8. Strange thing is that the G8 is only 360bhp while the Holden R8 is a bit above 400. They are using the same 6.0 litre engine, could it have something to do with different fuel qualitys in US and AUS.

I think the 5dr version of the Monaro is called the Holden Commodore? Seen it a few times on that australian police stop type program on Bravo/Men and Motors. Makes the british police look pathetic driving round in their Vectras

if they are anything like the monaro they will be stunning, BUT don`t let the 400 bhp fall you. thay are not slow by any means, but dont expect the 400 bhp pull like you get from a cossie !! ( norr 330 at that !! )
these are cruisers not race cars
never the less there are plenty of tuning kits from the US and OZ
the LS2 engine in these will take 8psi of boost ( turbo / supercharger ) on a std engine, past that and you will need uprated rods / pistions ECU...
but can easly be pushed to 700 bhp with out to much work !!!!
if you have the cash for one do it i would !!!

I went from owning a 120BHP rs turbo to the Pontiac Gto when I moved to the US. As you can imagine the difference is amazing and petrol is only about £1.50 a gallon over here. :blabla
