Default Cosworth Cam Cover Gasket.

Just fitted a new cam gasket and half moons (comitec) but getting oil leak from the front of the cam cover.
Should I also have used sealent with the gasket?
Also around the gasket it feels wet but not leaking this was not like this before.
Advice please......

you need to put a bit of silicone at the bottom of each half moon as they always leak from there

Don't use sealer on the gasket....just the ends of the half moons.

Just normal instant gasket from your local motor factors mate, put a bit on the head where the half moons sit then push them in and squeeze a bit in each corner where the half moons meet the gasket, refit cam cover and wipe off excess job done.

I would say as tight as 'feels' alright - bare in mind you are tightening in to alloy though, so dont use all your strength!!
