Wot I dont understand is, why sign a contract last summer?

All that bollocks bout not leaving coz of the fans..

How is Henry gonna fit in at Barca with Ronaldinho, Messi, Eto?

16M is abit cheap aswell, considering Chelski paid 30M for shevchenko..

hes 30 years old tho. Ł16 miliion is a lot of money for a player who might only play another 2-3 years before retiring.

great bit of buisness again by wenger imo, but cant see him being at arsenal next year. all this business with david dein is ripping the club apart, i wonder how many others will wanna follow out the door if wenger does leave

A big loss for the Premiership now that he has gone.In one way im glad, because he is one arrogant bastard. And a sore loser at that. But Cantona was also arrogant.

Arsenal are fucked.Fabregas will be on his way soon. And then the Emirates will be down to 30k fans a week.I cant wait

Great players come and go,the club will survive and move forwards..Any of the big players that have left Arsenal over the last 10 years,i've never felt down about any of them going...because we had thier best years out of them.
Henry was great yes,but last year he didn't show much heart and sat on the side lines with a slight strain here and there....you wouldn't see a Gerrard etc sitting out of games with a "slight knock"...and Henry was meant to be the captain...so much for leading by example.
I'm sure he will do well at Barca though the guy is super class,i'm just suprised they didn't ask for Eto in exchange,as he wants 2 leave(so reports say)...then again, maybe Wenger wants Eto at Barca!!! I think Wenger will be off soon as well, which is a FAR bigger problem then Henry leaving. I hope Van persie and co step up to the plate now and show there is life after Henry. Still its a shame the Premiership have lost such a great player, but everything ends eventually.

Wenger's a man of his word and wont go until his contract runs out..

As for Henry, we wont full apart without him, we created enough chances last season, if we get someone like Owen or someone like that then we will be fine..

Everyone might forget, but Henry had a shit season.
What did he do for arsenal lat year??

I think he needed a chance. If i was Arsenal id have cashed in on him this summer too. Another year and he might have had another bad one and be worth fuck all.

Somehow i think he is past his best (i think he peaked last yr)and Arsenal have done the right thing to sell him.

Sadly im a spurs fan and hoped he would have stayed for a few years and made a cnut of it.

Good luck, but if i was arsenal id have done the same thing. I think he is finished

He suffers/suffered with sciatic nerve problem, with leads to injuries one after the other.

Im gutted about it. Henry has been the best forward in the premiership by a long way, scored goals, assisted, 2 Championship medals and 4 F.A Cup medals!

The only problem is now we have to buy a new forward... But none will be at henry's standard.

I don't think its cheap at all. Chelski are silly with their money. Okay Ferguson wanted Rudd Van Nistelrooy out but he went at the same age for Ł10m and hes proven in International level, Holland, England and Spain not just England. Henry Flopped at Monaco and Juventus. Ruuds walked every league hes played and so have others.

Hes a legend for them (Arsenal) but Ł16m at that age is a bargain, don't forget they sold the previous goal machine Anelka and turned it around and people were saying the same! Still the shit seems to be hitting the fan at Arsenal.

I thought i was going to get a stupid reply then. You talk sence mate. Most Arsenal fans i hear talk about being the best in Europe.

You have a quality stadium,it does seem to be quiet, but ist like that at most home grounds.Old Trafford is like that sometimes.I think your attendances will drop because he has gone. Not by 30k though,i was just messing about with that figure.

I think you have had the best out of him.He was a top player, but he did my head in at times.

Good luck next season anyway. You will need it

That hasnt anything to do with being a shit club

Im talking about trophies won, history, good support.

The WHO ARE YA chants some you up.When did you start to follow football? 1996 ? That is just a small time chant that is embarrassing in itself.

well i have been going to games since i was 7(thats 24 years now) and have seen so many changes people come and go and so on

i admit i dotn get to many games now due to prices and tickets dont often go on general sale to non members

as for next season it wont be easy but i cant see us doing any worse than last season

arsen will go at the end of it that i am sure of unless that yank takes over and mr dein comes back

Quick Reply: henry on his way?
