Default Insurance, declaring temporary mods.

I've been giving some thought of preparing my Focus for some light track use, no engine mods as my company wont allow. But I do want to use upgraded brakes and pads.

The thing is that I would only fit them for track use and refit the standard ones to prolong their life, as I'd probably only track it once a month.

I don't know what I would do really. I would declare the brakes, but they'd only be on there for the journey to and from the track, but I also don't want to decare them, have an accident with standard brakes and invalidate my insurance. Is there a way of dealing with this as I don't fancy lugging spare brakes and tools to a track!

is this a wind up

do your company not mind you using the car on track then, just no engine mods. Also do your company sort the insurance out, being a company car?

I personally wouldn't bother if your only changing the pads.

I would arrange seperate insurance for track use, I'm just concerned about the drive to the track as I know companies will use any excuse not to pay out. I meant uprated discs aswell.

Do you think its not worthing informing them then?
