v8 engine block wanted - garden ornament
preferably made of ally so it's easier to carry, and preferably localish to basingstoke/bracknell area for collection
i have a pair of 19" rear wheels and tyres from an aston martin vanquish in the garden that get planted up like a hanging basket every year, and i'd like to do something similar with a v8 engine block - maybe with herbs
may also get a motorbike engine like mine - v4 as as smaller one if i can find a scrap one cheap enough
anyone else have anything similar or some good idea of what other car parts to use
hope this doesn't get moved as it is not really car parts related

A friend of mine has a 2003 Ferrari F1 car wheel in his living room, with a glass pane on top, etched with the ferarri logo.
He won it in Monaco at some F1 parade last year. Looks the TITS!
Dont imagine the wheels to be easy to come by though?

Pester someone on a Triumph owners club, Stag V8s were always breaking down.
Chop the front of a car off, put it against a wall, prop open the bonnet then you have a perfectly good BBQ and patio lights!

Which reminds me, I sold an ol lotus 2.2 eclat engine about 3 yrs back for rebuild only.
I was amazed as the winner bidder only wanted it for a coffee table lol, yet paid well over 200 notes lol

Chip-3Door i don't fancy humping one of those down my back passage
900ss i wouldn't expect to get it for free necessarily. just on the off chance that someone might have one cluttering up the place and wanted rid with no hassle. good suggestion about ebay. will have a look.
can be as worn as anything, or even with a chunk out of the side or anything
anyone know other alloy v8's apart from the rover and lexus?
