just wondering if its possible to get hold of the maping software and leads to map the level 8 ecu on a cossie

reason i ask is thers a skyline tuner 200 yards down the road from me and he said if i could get the software and lead he could then map the car

but i dont know if this is available or the price of it

as the nearest tuner is still a distance away from em which is karl but i carnt ravel that far due to illness

so if anyone could give me some info so i can look into it and see if its worth getting for this tuner to map my car if not then it will be a low loader to a tuner

It's not readily available to my knowledge. Pectel made it easy, with their software locating the relevant maps for the tuner. People like Stu have expensive software/equipment to access and emulate the ECU and then they still have to find the maps.....

The standard L8 cannot be live remapped like that, you have to do it by removing the chip, writing a new one, and putting that in, or by using a very expensive emulator.

Other option is that you could buy an RP labs setup and do it that way, thats about a grand though I think.

not willing to spend that much mate

ill use the chip i got here for now to get it running and then ill send it off and have it checked
