Absolutely amazing place.

Hire a car and be sure to visit the varying Canyons and not just the Grand Canyon.

A helicopter trip over the Hoover Dam is worth it - that place is absolutely fucking awesome

Loads to do and see, we stayed for 8 days and ended up visiting walmart for most of them to buy shit to bring home

A few pics to whet your apetite

Buses built in the UK by Walter Alexander in Scotland and shipped to Vegas - the first double deck buses vegas has ever had

Lake Mead is HUUUUUGE as is the Hoover Dam

Boulder City - this was built as a town for the people who worked on building the Hoover Dam

Only in America would you find a fucking giant M&M

I can't wait to go back, and only spent about Ł600 in total which wasn't bad.

If you stay in the casino's on a night and play really small amounts (like 1 doller) you get drinks brought to you buy the "coctail wenches" - they do it to keep you in their casino and on the machines. tip em a doller and they will serve you all night for free dinks

Its awesome Gareth - best $80 I spent out there by a long shot

For the hirecar, we had a Chrysler Sebring - convertable thing but had aircon aswell which was good, as it was cunting hot - 32 celcius most days and that was in the middle of October

LOL, you can do that at home

It is quite a cool place, and I recon 4 days is about right.

Don't bother with the coyote ugly bar - it's shit

We had a really nice (posh) meal upstairs in Luxor, but can't find anything about it on the net besides this:

http://www.vacationidea.com/las_vega...las_vegas.html

It's not on the Luxor site though, might have changed to something else

you need to be 21 to drink anywhere in the states and i'm pretty certain its 21 for booking a room and going the casino.

25 for car hire tho, unless the main hirer is older than 25 then over 21's can be put on the hire sheet

Single?

Why did you let that rather fit mrs of yours go?

That'll learn you to tie the knots better next time

No been myself but...

Chap from work went on business there for a work recently - hated it and could not wait to come home.

My mum who lives in the states has been twice, said it was OK, but 2 or 3 days is more than enough.
