Default New turbo for my saff 2wd

Want a new turbo.

Currently have a t35 .63.

Want something bigger and was thinking about a t38 with roller bearing and maram shaft for the als. Can you get such a turbo or am I better off going down the gt route. Want something which will bolt straight on with no mods ie external wastegate or exhaust mods. Oh and something with minimal lag....

dont know about als spec, but a ut t38 is a nice compromise on power and drivability...same (lag) as what u've got but good for 450+bhp...

yeah T38 sounds about right for you.

why do you want to change from the T34/63?

i had a universal t38 turbo and i was well happy with it plenty of power and i belive you can get the wright shaft for anti lag the gt seris turbos dont last long with anti lag so i here

just want a bit more power as a bit bored with it. I built the engine with forged pistons and a decent block etc so I know it can handle more than it is running. Looking at T38 rollerbearing turbo and maybe some siemens injectors to replace the greys...

in the same postion as you with t34/63. there has just been a TT T38 on ebay went for £665. have spoke to several people about it a suitable upgrade and if you want a direct replacement without changing stuff like wastegates ive found the following (but there will be others)

gt30 from AET turbos (recommended by mark shead)
gt30 from karl norris
T38 from mike rainbird
T38 from turbo technics and others

dont know which one to go for in terms of lag and spool up etc.

I dont think a roller bearing and ALS are a combination that you are going to be pleased you picked!

they will make one to what he want at the link on my sig turbodevelopments

just rebuilt the T34.63 aned the T3 360 BEARINGS AND STUFF ON THEN JUST GOT TO SELL THE SAFF t34.63 THAT I GOT 1000MILES AGO BUT GOT SOME TAG SEAL THINK ON IT WANT TO KNOW WHAT THATS ALL ABOUT WILL POST A PIC

You misunderstood me paul.

Roller bearings shafts are very thin, ALS is very aggressive on the shaft.

For ALS really you want a plain bearing with a mar-m shaft

Thats what I thought just wanted some second thoughts.

I want to be able to use the Als without worrying about the turbo so a standard t38 with maram is probably my best option....

Yes mate, a standard T38 with a mar m shaft is a good safe bet (well will still get fucked by the ALS, but will take longer, lol)

You can run ALS on a t38 without a maram shaft as long as you dont want to leave the ALS for 5 mins.

i sure anti lag can be done with loads but well someone will always want more and break it saying you said it was ok to !!

What about a Team Dynamics Roller Bearing T35? There was a feature in Performance Ford January 2007 issue. According to the benchamrks caried out by the magazine team its good for 480BHP and lags LESS then a normal run of the mill T35. Might be worth looking into

Thats one thing that pisses me off about mags, they publish cars etc saying there capable off 900bhp at 3 bar, but what they dont tell you is there now way in this world it could ever run over 2 bar. Its like saying mine is capable of 600bhp at 40psi, but it would have melted by the time it got to 30psi.
