My intercooler has 'modine' and some writing in german (or some daft language) stamped on the top of it

it appears to have genuine RS500 end tanks on it as thay are cast alloy, but the whole intercooler is silver coloured, not black.

can anyone shed any light as to what exactly it is?
I thought genuine ones were made by Behr?
has it just been recored or is it a genuine one sprayed silver?

so did I, but the end tanks at least appear to be genuine.

the core appears to be alloy and silver in colour

I'll have to have a better look tomorrow and try n get some pics of it.

just wondered if 'modine' and the german writing meant anything to anyone?

 

think I heard somewhere that modine made some of the genuine rs500 coolers and some were in silver, but dunno how true it is

 

im 99% sure there was some silver one,cant remember the reason now
there was a post about them a few months back

just been hunting on google for any info and it would appear that 'modine' are a radiator/intercooler manufacturer and make some OE stuff so could have made some for Ford.

any idea if they are as good as the black ones?

When i was at Boreham, there were 13 brand new in a box, only one was painted! They were all going to be sold on, except the black one that made it's way onto Keith Brooke's Saff

 

Modine is the new contractor at Ford Motorsport..

first Behr made them all .. now Ford Motorsport gets them from Modine..

they switched contractor.. but both build them to exact the same specifications...

ask Miker .. he sells them aswell ..
