Default 4x4 quickshifter?

Does anyone use a B&M quickshifter on thier 4x4 cossie? I have one but I am not sure if it makes the gearchange notchy, and a few people have said they fuck syncro rings very quickly? anyone got any experiance with theese?

I've beeen told by many people that using a quickshift on the 2wd Borg Warner T5 box will fuck syncro rings etc as teh box is being forced to change gears quicker than it likes. Not heard of issues on the MT75 box though.

my T5 quickshift is quite notchy, but the box is old anyway and taking 500BHP , double clutching makes it really easy and way faster than STD to change on the T5

heard the quickshift makes the 4x4 box nasty though?

Doug, as in L8 ECU removed his one and runs standard set up.

His rattled (except when u held the knob ), and you could beat the synchros with it.

I personally could beat the synchros with out a quickshifter, so really could see no point in them.

Personally, thumbs down for me.

Would not recommend the B&M one for the reasons Si gave .

We do a shorter throw that sits half way between standard and the B&M, but retains the existing gear shift, so doesn't rattle .

i have a b&m on my car and have found it can be a little tricky to get it into gear at really high revs (when your going for it)

if you dont batter it too much, its fine though, and it feels much better than alot of standard 4x4 saffs i have seen

p.s. it doesnt rattle

What make is it? I have a turbosport one, made by a guy off thier site, and it is really good, but you HAVE to be accurate with blipping the throttle for the right revs going down the box or its a pain in the arse, and going up is ok, but I find double clutching is much smoother, and with a bit of practice its far faster than granny shifting anyway - Fit it and find out, you can get it off again just by dropping the rear mount, it gives you just enough space

the only quick shifter to run on the MT75 is the ford 909 sport one, like rockinghorse shit, but make the shift really nice and positive
