4x4 quickshifter?

I've beeen told by many people that using a quickshift on the 2wd Borg Warner T5 box will fuck syncro rings etc as teh box is being forced to change gears quicker than it likes. Not heard of issues on the MT75 box though.

my T5 quickshift is quite notchy, but the box is old anyway and taking 500BHP , double clutching makes it really easy and way faster than STD to change on the T5
heard the quickshift makes the 4x4 box nasty though?

Doug, as in L8 ECU removed his one and runs standard set up.
His rattled (except when u held the knob ), and you could beat the synchros with it.
I personally could beat the synchros with out a quickshifter, so really could see no point in them.
Personally, thumbs down for me.

Would not recommend the B&M one for the reasons Si gave .
We do a shorter throw that sits half way between standard and the B&M, but retains the existing gear shift, so doesn't rattle .

i have a b&m on my car and have found it can be a little tricky to get it into gear at really high revs (when your going for it)
if you dont batter it too much, its fine though, and it feels much better than alot of standard 4x4 saffs i have seen
p.s. it doesnt rattle
