Yeah thats mick's snotter and the reason he isnt allowed to run it is its not classed as a road car by the event despite running 11.1 in the same format he goes shopping, even the tyres, and doing 10K miles+ some years.
And its only on 245 wide tyres IIRC, so not even like its running stupid wide drag tyres or anything either
real shame!

He does 10k+ miles a year in it some years, and it handles well etc, it would be FAR less of a useful roadcar to him if he starts moving the wheels so far out and screwing up the geometry and making the car too wide to park easily in tescos etc.
The daft thing is the "no tubs" rule is there to stop people running stupidly wide drag tyres, but on mick's car the tubs are only there to allow him to lower it, he is still on narrower wheels than a lot of modern BMW's etc come out of the factory with, and even more ridiculously the caterhams and westfields are allowed to enter which are tubbed from the factory.
Its a real shame, but it just falls foul of the words of the rules even though the car itself is totally in the "genuine road car" spirit of the event FAR more than many of the cars that are allowed to enter!
