Default Cylinder Head Acid Dipping ?

been to my local engine shop in coventry today and they told me they no longer do cylinder head acid dipping because of the new law on using the stuff anyone else heard of this ?

its more than likely they cant comply with a heath and safety law

if you had all the equipment and procedurs in place,,, theres no reason why you couldnt acid dip a head

Not allowed to use acid baths (legally) at all now.

So what other ways are they to do the same job then ?

I have a really oily carboned up head i need cleaning all he said he can do is blast it but i cant see that getting inside to get all the crap out

ive always used chesman ever since i found them

very good bunch of lads and do know what there on about doing the head work and balancing and all other machining

steves a bit of a character though

gnrs engineering there called

go in there and speak to sammy

Ultrasonic cleaning. Must be someone about the midlands that does it.
