Often id agree with you Stu but am not gonna on this one. I dont think a site thats supposed to have the dogs danglies server etc etc should go down as regular as this one does.

As for looking in the relevant room, ive had a question in there for ages now with not a single reply......Hence me thinking no fooker looks in there...

no im saying when i cant get on and it eventually lets me, its exceptionally slow to load anything

its not slow 100% of the time, id say about 15% realistically, but i have been getting critical errors again, havent had any for a few days but theyre creeping back

I did get the critical error thingy last night, but it didn't last long and apart from that I haven't really had any problems and performance does seem to be ok from my end

I run my own web servers and I get this all the time from clients, and too be completely honest 9/10 it's something at their end or inbetween causing the problem. I don't envy anybody having to try and resolve these kind of problems, almost impossible I would say

a no win situation all round

Stu

Its funny how you just quote me

It is bloody slow on here between 6pm and 12pm ,,which is the only time i get on here ,,and its funny how every other website i use is ALWAYS fast ,,,so it must be just my end is it

Problem is stu i dont kiss your arse and say everything is perfect when it clearly isnt if people like me dont say what we feel how would anything every get better

Please just keep telling us its only bad for 10 mins every day and we might even start to believe it

ps,,spoke to 2 of your Mods of here today who both say its bloody slow on here for them also ,,,,,,,,,So again ,,it must just be at my end and i imagine others have the same problems as me

Take my replies as you wish ,,but if you think its ok for people who pay to use this site to have serious problems 7 days a week then fine ,, i dont think its acceptable and hope you can resolve it soon as its been many many weeks like this and its a shame as its spoiling a great website ,,but only for some so that must not matter

Stu
Its funny how you just quote me

ERM.... that Yorkshire tea must be getting to you mate, as i havent quoted you at all, let alone ONLY you!

It is bloody slow on here between 6pm and 12pm
So its slow now? Right now, on your connection? Cos i swear on my kids lives it is NOT slow here!!

Problem is Stu i dont kiss your arse and say everything is perfect when it clearly isnt if people like me dont say what we feel how would anything every get better
I am happy with that too, and i agree with you, teh problem is, if your not happy to go with our intended and announced solution, what more can we do? The fact you can only get on when iot DOES have issues, doenst change teh fact the rest of teh day its fine with over 700people online does it?

Please just keep telling us its only bad for 10 mins every day and we might even start to believe it
Who mentioned ten mins then?

ps,,spoke to 2 of your Mods of here today who both say its bloody slow on here for them also ,,,,,,,,,So again ,,it must just be at my end and i imagine others have the same problems as me
NOBODY, has said its not got issues at night during peak times, please read the topic again as this is just pointless waffle given theres only YOU thinks anyone has said that!

Again, where does it say any of that?
May i once again suggest you carefully read teh topic and teh information contained within it before wasting your time expecting a reply to a question that isnt even on topic!

Stu;
Why do you type teh, instead of the? Just wondering.
PF seems to be fine for me most of the time, but i run c cleaner every day,and it was shite for me until i learned how to delete cookies, maybe this is the cause of most peoples problems.
it was the same for me,PF was shite slow, and sometimes i couldn't get on at all,but other sites were fine.
Deleted cookies,job sorted!

this is what I said in the speed test post, Lee, Paul, when was the last time you ran a pc cleanup, deleted old cookies, did antispam/ spyware cleaning? As Stu says ( and im not kissing arse here, its plain fact), how can 700 people have good connections all round the country, and 20-30 people have slow/ error issues......

Why not help yourselfs AND stu, and do a full PC clean up and see how you get on from then? Also, what internet browsers do you use?

The last time my pc went fooked,my mate wiped it and started again. He installed a program called C Cleaner(crap cleaner). this deletes cookies, history etc. etc.,all you have to do is run it,and it clears it for you! Job done!
PF still o.k. for me.
Paul, lee, brom etc.,have you deleted your cookies and temporary internet files? If not,try it and then see how you get on.
p.s. i do not work in i.t.

my 2penneth (FWIW)

I paid the membership last year so could have a say, now I dont so I cant, simple...

BUT after 5pm, this site is unusable for the most till about now...

It seems the server isnt getting the bandwidth needed.

Network Solutions? Have a talk to these people!

I hope u guys get it sorted, would be a shame to lose PF over design rather than quality

Stu, have you done any digging into the user ID profiles of the people that find it slow or difficult to login?

I agree its weird that most have no problems, but some seem to have loads?

What sort of info is being pulled from the database when a person logs in? Is there any link between maybe the size of their messages/inbox in PF, Avatar/Signature properties....garage info...etc etc.

Just a thought as there has to be a route cause.

I doubt ISP routing to french networks is the problem. What does your performance check software actually do? We often have cases at work where a provider will say "Yeah, no problems with our software, the performance stats say 99% uptime", but pinging the server with a basic test is very different to a simulated login.

Personally I have no issues, but there must be a cause to this.

Just interested to see what Pet has tested.

I dont ping pf.com -t but I have used it from many different networks and different machines, and it does seem to be temporamental .. it does seem to be the time when people finish work and everyone checks the latest posts......

who do scoobynet use? they seem to be 100% fast 100% of the time?
