Promoted to Sergeant in the British Army
I came off the promotion board today from Corporal to Sergeant today 
Not bad for just under 10 years in the British Army
Just got to wait till around November to wear it now when I get posted.

my brother was looking to turn to sargeant soon but he's about to get done for drink driving in which he said if convicted he gets a 5 year promotional ban 
so i reckon he'll jack it in to work off shore if that happens,
& they wonder why so many soldiers leave
any way good luck mate

I wouldn't want someone who isn't responsable enough to not have a drink when behind the wheel being in charge of my son in a war zone!

i always thought if you spelt your christian name right in the army you made cpl and if you spelt christian name followed by surname you make snco

Cheers everyone. Just a bit happy and can't wait to get to wear it around November time.
A bit of a wait but the other 24 on my promotion board all have to wait till then too.
Pay increase goes from 28.5k to 30k basic.
No idea where I am being posted to but it's got me out of going somewhere where I didn't want to go

Back on the mainland in August for summer leave
