I like the CRF450's. Good value for money too in my opinion.

Saying that, i like most of the enduro/trail/supermoto's.

Hi,

I took out a ccm r30 650, with a 710cc conversion fitted, i was so disappointed, i liked the look of them, came home and my brother said his mate had just bought a yz426 01 model, it would murder the ccm
also had a go on the honda crf450, bags of grunt like the yz, only problem
is you have to change the oil & filter by the hours every 4, to 8, hours depending how its riden,, i'm in the middle of a deal as we speak for a yz426 supermoto spec, then i will reg and mot for the road daytime use only. CCM is more of a road bike longer sevice time etc.

Regards Dave R.

If you get one try and get one with a 'normal' engine. Alot of them have race derived engines that are designed to be stripped and rebuilt after very few running hours.

edit..

should have read previous post

it's still a valid point..

One of my mates had a Road Legal (i'll use that term as loosely as possible) CRF450 that was fully race prepared and ridden to 2nd place in the British Champs. The thing was an absolute animal. So much torque. Would do nothing but wheelspin, wheelie and spit flames everywhere. Was such a great bike

Don't really know that much about proper road bikes but someone else I know has a KTM450 and it costs a fortune to maintain.

Supermotos really are in a league of their own in terms of fun !

But they also make you ride like a twat and I dont mean that in a bad way

I had a YZ426F and it would wheelie everywhere as the torque was just awesome

The only problem with them sadly is their relatively small tank range , I think it took about £5 - 6 to fill it and when you ride like cunt , that soon goes ! theres also no reserve

Was a cunt to start too with the de compression lever

Id have one purely as a knock about toy just to play at being Thierry Van Den Bosch
