plus if you remember teh original cartoon peter cullen was the voice of optimus prime and they have got him to do the voice in this

but thers a few debates going on as optimus has lips when he talks
not many people happy about it from what ive read

ive heard the voice of megatron is the voice of mr smith from matrix (carnt remember his real name)

either way this film is going to rock

they were given "as many as you like" peterbuilt long nose trucks for free and they needed 10
and it's a lot of money to be forking out if it'll save you a fair few quid
plus the director said that tf moves on from generation to generation

and yes, peter cullen will voice prime ebcause thats one of the things that "HAD" to be done seeing as they've chenaged virtually everything else

if you read the prequel comics it all makes sense

COME ON-- it was never going to be as good or as realistic as the cartoon.

Just be happy with what we got.

I am sure there are people up in arms about the superman film but in my opinion they got it bang on the money.

i can't remember the exact storyline but there is something on earth that megatron wants to rule the universe and prime gets here just in time to save the day

it's like the key to vector sigma sort of storyline but i'll go and have a reread of the comic to tell you whats what when i get home tonight (about 10 seeing as i've got o go to newbury and then to high wycombe in all the traffic

if they had kept the original characters then no matter how shit the film was, everyone would have gone "wow, it's great" and then they could have made another and another and so on and so forth

transformers uber geek alert here

there are several alternate histories involving the tranfsormers, but they sort of end up intertwinded with each other

the comics varied from the usa and the uk versions and then there were the varios generations, beastwars, armada etc etc

the 2 main components seem to be that cyberton and unicron were beings from another dimension and, after some fighting, they went through into our universe and became traped in to planetiods
cybertron became home to the tf and unicron became this monster planet devoruing everything in his path

the other alternative beginning is that the quintesons originally made the tf as their slaves, but they rebelled and then found life on cybertron where they remianed for millions of years before they branched off into decpeticon and autobot

this is where the film kicks in, megatron was the cheif of teh army of cyberton and there was a rpime minister to rule over the planet
megs fond out how to create the ultimate power and dethroned the rightful ruler of the planet
in the mean time, soemone also figured out he was about to go nutsoid and sent the soruce of all power to earth, this is where megs and crew arrive on earth to find it yada yadda

in the comics and in the cartoons, they were figting a war for the past few years after having had millions of years of peace
they were both on a ship and that ship crash landed on earth 4 million years ago and they all perished
a volcanic eruption caused the ship to move and regain life, it sent out a little robot to find out what the planets transport was like and then it re powered the decepticons
starscream then blasted the entrace shut to the ship and thought he had sealed it for good, but this just shok the ship even more and an autobot landed in the beam of pwer and thats how the autobots came abck to life

along the way, spike and sparkplug whitwicky joined up with the autobots to show them how to do stuff on earth and were to get info etc so you had the human element as well

later on there cme the dinobots and then you had the later combiner teams such as the stunticons areilbots, combaticons etc

I remember an episode where the arielbots went back in time and optimus prime was nothing like he looked in the cartoons and was called orion pax, he died and was rebuilt into optimus, by alpha trion who in turn got killed off and his mind merged with vecta sigma

yes the aerialbots do go back in time as this was just after they were created and was wondering what the fuk was going on lol

as they wanted to join up with starscream etc

but then realised what they needed to do after they go thhere history lesson when they met alpha trion and orion pax who became optimus prime



hopefullt the actual movie will be very good if not excellent as i know here is a shit load of people who have been waiting a long time for this and if the endeding is right maybe a few sequels, so maybe bringing the dinobots in or combiners

maybe even the headmasters


i just hope one day someone makes a film of macross/robotech as this will just be as good as tf

no its not starscream tricks them onto a time machine. Isnt the key to vector sigma when the aeriel bots fight the tsuntacons and then at the end the unite into the big fuckers. Then the autobots win cos they fix that other big cunt who turns into a rocket

One of my m8's had Unicron suspended in his loft back in 1986, proper massive it was, deffo come from Japan, and took roughly an hour to Transform him
