Default Idle Control Valve

Has anyone cleaned there idle control valve on there cosworth.
Did you clean the valve when out with carb cleaner?
Got a problem with cold running at the moment,getting a slight mis and some surgeing when cold but when warmed up car is fine.
any help would be gratfull.

Did mine with carb cleaner, didn't do much to fix my issue unfortunatley. Had to buy a new ISCV in the end.

Mine was £50 for my ST Escort from a guy on here. Not sure how much from Ford but I do remember someone saying around the £100 mark.
Give the carb cleaner ago, lots of crap will come out and its a cheap option.

Just leave it to dry which doesn't take long.I used a small paint brush to clean inside it.Don't forget to buy a new Gasket as mine was knackered after I took it off.

I think that is what I will do first get the cleaner out?

Carb cleaner then spray libberally with SILICONE POLISH.
